New York Knicks at Philadelphia 76ers prediction
- Date: Friday, October 30.
- Tip-off: 7:30 p.m. ET.
- OG win probabilities: Knicks 47%; 76ers 54%.
- What to watch: Philadelphia's scoring options against Jalen Brunson late in games.
The market gives Philadelphia the edge in the East Group B opener of the Emirates NBA Cup, and the case starts with shot creation. Tyrese Maxey, Jaylen Brown, LeBron James and Joel Embiid give the 76ers four ways to score, and they won the first meeting this season in New York.
The 76ers' vulnerability is depth at center, because Ariel Hukporti is out for the season with an Achilles injury. New York's route runs through Jalen Brunson, who scored 38 points with six three-pointers in Wednesday's 133–127 win at Chicago after the Knicks trailed by 19.
Health is the largest uncertainty. Karl-Anthony Towns briefly left that game with a left wrist injury before returning, and neither team had filed an official Friday report in the league's 12:00 a.m. ET update on Thursday.

Los Angeles Lakers at Golden State Warriors prediction
- Date: Friday, October 30.
- Tip-off: 10:00 p.m. ET.
- OG win probabilities: Lakers 57%; Warriors 46%.
- What to watch: Luka Dončić's availability after back tightness.
Los Angeles carries the market edge, and its case rests on Luka Dončić's shot creation and a deeper supporting group. The Lakers beat the Clippers 103–87 on Wednesday without Dončić, who sat out with back tightness, and six Lakers scored in double figures. Los Angeles also won the first meeting with Golden State this season.
With Jimmy Butler, Moses Moody and Kristaps Porziņģis listed out, Golden State's route starts with Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, who still lead the team. The Warriors also have to account for Quentin Grimes and Collin Sexton, who scored 23 and 21 points in Wednesday's win.
The Lakers' vulnerability is also the largest uncertainty: Dončić's availability. Coach JJ Redick called Wednesday's absence precautionary and, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin, hopes Dončić and Ziaire Williams can play Friday, though the league's 12:00 a.m. ET report showed no Friday designation yet.

Indiana Pacers at Miami Heat prediction
- Date: Friday, October 30.
- Tip-off: 8:00 p.m. ET.
- OG win probabilities: Pacers 33%; Heat 68%.
- What to watch: Indiana's ball handling without Tyrese Haliburton.
Miami has the clearer market edge, and its case is a more varied half-court offense. After an 0–4 start, the Heat beat Atlanta 129–117 on Wednesday behind 24 points and 18 rebounds from Giannis Antetokounmpo and 24 points from Bam Adebayo, with 70 points in the paint.
The vulnerability is the sample. The Heat ran 57 pick-and-rolls in that game after 94 across their first four, according to the Miami Herald, and one strong night follows four losses. Indiana's route changes without Tyrese Haliburton, who the Pacers say will miss at least two weeks with a mild left hamstring strain, which could move more creation to Pascal Siakam.
Center Ivica Zubac, out Wednesday with a left ankle sprain, has no official Friday designation yet, which makes Indiana's rim protection the largest uncertainty.

Oklahoma City Thunder at Houston Rockets prediction
- Date: Saturday, October 31.
- Tip-off: 8:30 p.m. ET.
- OG win probabilities: Thunder 51%; Rockets 53%.
- What to watch: Availability for Alperen Şengün and Chet Holmgren.
The market sees this game as close, with Houston holding a narrow edge. The Rockets' case starts with scoring: ESPN lists them at 120.8 points per game through four games this season, while Oklahoma City allows 100.8.
The Thunder's route runs through Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who averages 27.3 points per game, against a Houston defense that allows 111.0. Houston plays Thursday at Milwaukee and Friday at Dallas before this game, so Saturday is its third game in three nights.
Availability is the largest uncertainty on both sides. ESPN and Sports Illustrated list Alperen Şengün and Marcus Smart out for Houston and Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams out for Oklahoma City, with estimated returns of October 30 for Şengün and Smart and October 31 for Holmgren. No official Saturday report has been filed.
Philadelphia 76ers at Charlotte Hornets prediction
- Date: Saturday, October 31.
- Tip-off: 6:00 p.m. ET.
- OG win probabilities: 76ers 57%; Hornets 48%.
- What to watch: Both teams on the second night of a back-to-back.
Philadelphia carries the market edge, and its case is scoring depth: Tyrese Maxey averages more than 28 points per game and Joel Embiid roughly 10 rebounds, according to ESPN. Both teams play on consecutive nights, with the 76ers hosting New York on Friday and the Hornets visiting Washington.
Charlotte's route runs through Brandon Miller, who averages 24.3 points per game, and Dennis Schröder's ball handling, with Coby White, Kon Knueppel, Grant Williams and Kylan Boswell listed out by ESPN and Sports Illustrated. That thin guard group is also the Hornets' vulnerability.
Embiid is the largest uncertainty for Philadelphia. He missed the 76ers' October 25 game against Detroit with a heel issue, according to The Athletic, and no official Saturday designation has been filed.
Los Angeles Clippers at Golden State Warriors prediction
- Date: Sunday, November 1.
- Tip-off: 8:30 p.m. ET.
- OG win probabilities: Clippers 50%; Warriors 86%.
- What to watch: Los Angeles' turnovers against a short Golden State roster.
Golden State is the market favorite, and its case starts with Stephen Curry and Draymond Green against a Clippers team that struggles to protect the ball. Los Angeles turned it over 24 times in Wednesday's 103–87 loss to the Lakers and 26 times in each of the two games before it, according to the AP.
The Warriors' vulnerability is a short roster. Jimmy Butler, Moses Moody and Kristaps Porziņģis are listed out, and Golden State plays the Lakers on Friday before this game. The Clippers' route is cleaner possessions: Darius Garland scored 26 points against the Lakers on October 23, and Brandon Ingram and Bradley Beal are listed out for Los Angeles.
Health is the largest uncertainty for both teams, since each plays Friday and no official Sunday report exists yet.
What could change before the weekend games?
The league's 12:00 a.m. ET report on October 29 listed every team in Friday's ten games as "not yet submitted," so no official Friday designation is available and earlier designations are not confirmed for Friday. Luka Dončić (back tightness) is the largest open item for Los Angeles at Golden State, with coach JJ Redick hopeful he plays. Indiana's Ivica Zubac (left ankle sprain) is the key center question at Miami. For Saturday, Joel Embiid at Charlotte and Alperen Şengün (back) for Houston against Oklahoma City have no official designation yet. The probabilities above come from the 5:24 a.m. ET capture on October 29 and can move as reports arrive.
