Buffalo Bills at Los Angeles Rams prediction and injury report
The Los Angeles Rams are favorites at home against the Buffalo Bills, whose first defeat exposed defensive injuries before a meeting with Matthew Stafford's offense.

The Los Angeles Rams have already played two very different games against last season's NFC contenders.
San Francisco beat them 27-7 in the opener; on Sunday, the Rams rallied past Philadelphia 24-20 as Kyren Williams scored twice and Byron Young closed the game with two sacks. They enter Monday night at 2-2.
The Buffalo Bills are 3-1 after a 29-26 home loss to New England. Josh Allen threw a late go-ahead touchdown to Keon Coleman, but a Patriots touchdown and Allen's subsequent interception turned the game.
The Bills now travel west with questions at receiver, cornerback and along the defensive front. Stafford and Sean McVay will be ready to test those answers.

Buffalo Bills vs Los Angeles Rams prediction
Prediction markets for BUF Bills @ LA Rams currently make the Rams 60% favorites, with the Bills at 41%.
Market data as of October 6, 2026. For the latest market-implied probability, check the OG app.
The Rams can force Buffalo's injured secondary to make difficult choices. Stafford has Puka Nacua back alongside Davante Adams, and Williams gave the Eagles 147 yards from scrimmage in Sunday's comeback.
If Buffalo shifts help toward either receiver, Los Angeles can still attack underneath or hand Williams the ball against a lightened front.
Allen gives the Bills a way to resist that pressure. He found Coleman for a 34-yard touchdown against New England, while Khalil Shakir caught seven passes for 82 yards.
James Cook can keep the Rams honest on the ground, and Allen's ability to extend a play can punish a rush that loses contain. Buffalo has scored 26 or more in three of its four games.
The gap in the market is large enough to recognize the Rams' home advantage and Buffalo's personnel problems, but Allen remains a substantial reason for caution.
Los Angeles also has defensive decisions to make around Aaron Donald and Jaylen Watson. Both could return; neither had been confirmed for this game as of Tuesday.
Buffalo Bills vs Los Angeles Rams odds
Buffalo Bills win: 41%
Los Angeles Rams win: 60%
The market favors the home team without dismissing Buffalo. The Rams have a strong opportunity to attack the Bills' depleted coverage, while Allen and a productive offense give the visitors a plausible route to a fourth win.
The NFC West outlook puts the Rams' 2-2 start in context: a roster built to contend has already had to recover from two early defeats.
Buffalo Bills vs Los Angeles Rams game outlook
Stafford's first question is how Buffalo covers Nacua and Adams if Christian Benford's toe injury or Dee Alford's ankle injury limits its options.
New England gained 405 yards against the Bills and produced four gains of at least 10 yards on its go-ahead touchdown drive. The Rams can use Nacua's work across the formation and Adams' outside routes to test communication before the pass rush gets home.
Williams supplies another pressure point. His 16 carries for 80 yards and 10 catches for 67 yards against Philadelphia were a reminder that McVay can keep him involved when an opponent takes away the first downfield read.
If Ed Oliver's knee injury removes an interior defender, Buffalo may have to commit more resources to the run and short passing game.
On the other side, Allen will face a Rams rush that ended the Eagles game with Young's two sacks. Myles Garrett and Young can shorten the time available for deeper routes, so Cook's early runs and quick throws to Shakir or Dalton Kincaid could help keep Buffalo out of third-and-long.
The Bills' passing attack has another question if DJ Moore's shoulder prevents him from playing or limits his role. Buffalo entered this year as a leading AFC East contender; its first division loss makes the response on the road more revealing.
Donald and Watson would give Los Angeles more options against both Allen's movement and Buffalo's receivers. If they cannot return, the Rams may need to protect their corners with more coverage help, allowing Allen to take easier completions. This is the tactical tension behind a game that could become high scoring without following the same script on every drive.
Buffalo Bills vs Los Angeles Rams injury report and team news
Buffalo Bills
Moore left the Patriots game in the second quarter with a shoulder injury and did not return. Coleman responded with six catches for 116 yards and a touchdown, while Shakir led Buffalo with eight targets. Their roles could grow if Moore is unavailable, although the team's official Week 5 practice reports will determine his status.
Oliver (knee) and Alford (ankle) also left Sunday's game. Benford missed it with a toe injury, and T.J. Sanders was already recovering from an appendectomy. The condition of Buffalo's defensive front and cornerback group is particularly consequential against Stafford's receivers and Williams' dual role.
Los Angeles Rams
Nacua returned against Philadelphia after missing the previous two games. Williams handled a substantial rushing and receiving workload, while Young supplied the decisive late pressure.
McVay said Monday that he hoped Watson could play with a shoulder harness and that Donald was trending toward a return from back soreness. Those are expectations, not confirmed availability. Terrance Ferguson has been placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury; Colby Parkinson's status is also relevant to the Rams' tight-end rotation. If Watson cannot go, Josh Wallace is the likely cornerback replacement opposite Trent McDuffie.
Key factors that could decide Buffalo Bills vs Los Angeles Rams
Can Buffalo cover both Nacua and Adams with its available corners?
New England repeatedly found space on the drive that put it ahead late. Stafford has two established receivers to test different areas of the field, and the Rams can move Nacua to create favorable matchups. Buffalo's coverage plan becomes much harder if Benford and Alford remain unavailable.
Can Cook keep the Rams' edge rushers from attacking every down?
Buffalo rushed for only 28 yards on 11 first-half carries against the Patriots. A better early-down return from Cook would give Allen play-action opportunities and reduce the number of long-developing throws Garrett and Young can attack.
What can Allen create when the first read is covered?
Allen's improvisation can turn a sound defensive call into an explosive gain. The Rams must rush without leaving an easy escape lane. Buffalo, in turn, cannot afford another late forced throw like the interception that ended its comeback attempt against New England.
How much does Donald change the Rams' interior defense?
McVay is hopeful Donald will return after missing Week 4, but he has not been declared available. His presence would complicate Buffalo's protection and inside running plans. Without him, the Rams still have Young and Garrett, though Buffalo may find more room to work between the tackles.
Buffalo Bills vs Los Angeles Rams head-to-head
The Rams won the teams' last meeting 44-42 in December 2024. Allen led Buffalo's furious second-half rally, but Stafford's offense had already built enough of a cushion to survive it.
Both quarterbacks and McVay return for this matchup, so the previous game illustrates how quickly either offense can change the score. It is a useful warning about their explosive potential, not a prediction that Monday night will follow the same pattern.
What could move Buffalo Bills vs Los Angeles Rams odds?
Buffalo's practice participation and final designations for Moore, Oliver, Alford and Benford will clarify the extent of its Week 4 injury losses. The Rams' reports on Donald and Watson will show whether McVay can use his preferred defensive rotation. The inactive lists may be particularly revealing at cornerback on both sides.
