This market will resolve to "Yes" if the total number of layoffs in the Information sector for the 2026 calendar year exceeds 494,000. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". For the purposes of this market, "layoffs" refers to the "Layoffs and Discharges: Information" (JTS5100LDL) data series. The 2026 total will be calculated by summing the monthly values published for the period of January 2026 through December 2026. The 494,000 threshold represents the total number of Information sector layoffs recorded in 2025. If the 2026 total is exactly equal to 494,000, the market will resolve to "No". Resolution will be based on the data provided by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRED), sourcing data originally from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). If data for any month in 2026 is revised after its initial release, the value available at the time of market settlement (following the release of December 2026 data) will be used. If the primary source is unavailable or significantly delayed, the market may resolve based on equivalent data from the BLS Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS). The official resolution sources are the agencies listed in Rule 14.68(c) in the CDNA Rulebook, which can be found at https://www.nadex.com/rules/. Trading is temporarily paused during scheduled maintenance periods. Settlement Source: Rule 14.68(c) in the CDNA Rulebook
