How many Senate seats will Democrats hold after the Midterms?

This market will resolve to "Yes" for the outcome that captures the total number of U.S. Senate seats held by the Democratic Party on February 1, 2027. All other outcomes will resolve to "No". For purposes of this market, an Independent or any other non-Democratic Senator who officially caucuses with the Democratic Party will be counted as a Democrat (e.g., a Senator like Bernie Sanders who caucuses with the Democrats would be counted as a Democrat). The seat count will be determined as of 12:00 PM Eastern Time on February 1, 2027, based on the official membership of the United States Senate as reported by the United States Congress. If the Senate seat count for the Democratic Party is later changed due to a vacancy, resignation, death, or party switch occurring after February 1, 2027, this will not affect the settlement of this market.
