What are OG.com traders predicting for the 2026 Emmys?

OG.com traders are favoring The Pitt for drama series, Widow's Bay for comedy series and DTF St. Louis for limited or anthology series. The clearest acting leaders were Noah Wyle, Rhea Seehorn and Oscar Isaac.

Emmy predictions for Outstanding Drama Series

Market data as of September 9, 2026. For up-to-date probabilities, see OG.com platform.

The Pitt is the strongest overall pick among the major categories. It led all programs with 25 nominations and enters the ceremony as the defending Outstanding Drama Series winner. Noah Wyle also won lead actor for the first season in 2025, while Katherine LaNasa won supporting actress.

The market signal is similarly decisive. OG.com has The Pitt at 96%, compared with 11% for Pluribus and 10% for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Vanity Fair and the awards commentators interviewed by Extra also selected The Pitt, creating unusually broad agreement between expert opinion and market sentiment.

The show's four wins during the first Emmy weekend add to the case, although they need careful interpretation. Final-round voting ended on August 26, before those awards were announced. The Creative Arts results therefore reveal support across Academy branches but couldn’t influence ballots already cast.

Pluribus is the main spoiler. It earned 18 nominations, won four first-weekend awards and produced a TCA individual drama winner in Rhea Seehorn. Its strongest path may be through individual categories rather than the series award: Seehorn leads the drama-actress market and Vince Gilligan led OG.com's drama-directing market at 83% in the research snapshot.

Emmy predictions for Outstanding Comedy Series

Market data as of September 9, 2026. For up-to-date probabilities, see OG.com platform.

Comedy contains the clearest disagreement in the 2026 Emmy predictions. OG.com traders have Widow's Bay at 85%, well ahead of Shrinking at 11% and Hacks at 17%. Yet Vanity Fair predicted Hacks, while the Entertainment Weekly and CNN commentators interviewed by Extra framed the contest as a genuine two-show race.

Widow's Bay has several measurable advantages. It received 19 nominations, the most for a new program, and led the first Emmy weekend with eight wins. Those awards covered casting, guest acting, cinematography, production design, music and sound. The Television Critics Association also named it Outstanding Achievement in Comedy and Outstanding New Program, with Kate O'Flynn winning Individual Achievement in Comedy.

Hacks has a different case. Its 24 nominations set a single-year record for a comedy, its final season may benefit from a farewell narrative and Jean Smart has won lead comedy actress for every previous season of the show. The separate OG.com comedy-writing market also favored Hacks at 62%, suggesting that traders may see room for a split result even if Widow's Bay wins the top prize.

Emmy predictions for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series

Market data as of September 9, 2026. For up-to-date probabilities, see OG.com platform.

DTF St. Louis has the strongest late momentum in the limited-series field. It received 13 nominations and won six awards before the main telecast, including writing, directing, supporting actor for David Harbour and supporting actress for Linda Cardellini. It also won for cinematography and picture editing, showing support across several branches.

OG.com traders for DTF St. Louis are at 91%, followed by The Beast in Me at 11%, All Her Fault at 12% and Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette at 12%.

Beef remains the most credible challenge on paper. It led the category with 16 nominations and won three first-weekend craft awards. Its first installment also won Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series at the 75th Emmys, alongside lead actor, lead actress, writing and directing. Vanity Fair treated Beef and DTF St. Louis as a close race, which is considerably less decisive than the market snapshot.

Emmy best actor and actress predictions

Noah Wyle is the clearest acting favorite. OG.com traders have him at 95% for The Pitt, compared with 6% for Mark Ruffalo and 7% for Rufus Sewell. Wyle is the defending winner and is also nominated as a producer and director for the show's second season.

In lead drama actress, Rhea Seehorn led the market at 82%. Seehorn's TCA win and support from the expert forecasts reinforce the market view. The Television Academy lists four career nominations for Seehorn and no win as of the research cutoff, giving her candidacy a strong first-win narrative.

Oscar Isaac led the limited-series actor market at 73% for Beef. Matthew Rhys followed at 29%, with Riz Ahmed at 6%. Vanity Fair also picked Isaac, placing expert opinion and market sentiment in alignment.

What could change the 2026 Emmy race?

The final ballots have already been cast, so late developments can’t change Academy votes – but what can still change are public expectations and prediction-market prices before the markets close.

The comedy market is the most obvious place to watch. A material move for Hacks would narrow the current gap between expert forecasts and trader sentiment.

Awards analysis can shift if major publications revise their forecasts or if the Television Academy announces a correction, withdrawal or eligibility change.

The voting system itself creates uncertainty. Eligible National Active members can vote in most program categories, while individual achievement categories are generally judged by the relevant peer groups. Drama and comedy nominees submit six episodes for final judging.

Liquidity matters as well. A displayed price can move quickly when activity is low or bid-ask spreads are wide.

FAQs about the 2026 Emmy predictions

Who is predicted to win the 2026 Emmys?

The leading OG.com outcomes at the September 9 snapshot were The Pitt for drama, Widow's Bay for comedy, DTF St. Louis for limited series, Noah Wyle for lead drama actor, Rhea Seehorn for lead drama actress and Oscar Isaac for lead limited-series actor. Comedy has the clearest disagreement because Vanity Fair predicted Hacks rather than market leader Widow's Bay.

What show is favored to win outstanding drama series?

The Pitt is the clear favorite. Traders had it at 96% on OG.com, it led all programs with 25 nominations, won Outstanding Drama Series in 2025 and is also the consensus choice among the expert forecasts reviewed.

What show is favored to win outstanding comedy series?

OG.com traders favored Widow's Bay at 85% in the September 9 market snapshot. Expert opinion was less settled: Vanity Fair predicted Hacks, while other commentators described Widow's Bay and Hacks as the central contest.

Who are the favorites in the lead acting categories?

The available OG.com markets favored Noah Wyle at 95% for Lead Drama Actor, Rhea Seehorn at 82% for Lead Drama Actress and Oscar Isaac at 73% for Lead Limited-Series Actor. Expert forecasts also favored Matthew Rhys for Lead Comedy Actor, Jean Smart for Lead Comedy Actress and Carey Mulligan for Lead Limited-Series Actress.

How accurate are Emmy predictions?

Emmy winner predictions are estimates, not guarantees. Experts consider nominations, awards history, reviews, campaigns and precursor results. Prediction-market prices reflect current trading activity. Both approaches can miss because Emmy voting is subjective, electorates differ by category and unexpected outcomes are always a possibility.

What do Emmy prediction-market prices mean?

A market price reflects what traders are currently willing to pay for an outcome. A contract at $0.45 may suggest a 45% market-implied probability before fees and market conditions. Prices are live and can change. They are not polling, official odds or promises that an outcome will occur.

When are the 2026 Emmy Awards?

The main ceremony is Monday, September 14, 2026 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. It will air live on NBC and stream on Peacock from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

Who votes for the Emmy winners?

Eligible National Active Television Academy members vote in the final round. Members across peer groups can vote in most program categories, while individual achievement categories generally use peer judging. Nominees cannot vote in a final-round category in which they are nominated.
