Prediction markets make Barcelona 92% favorites against Getafe, but Raphinha's absence forces a side with seven straight league wins to reorganize their attack.

Raphinha scored all three Barcelona goals in their last league match, a 3-1 win at Sevilla. Hansi Flick must now replace that contribution without disrupting the combinations that have carried his team through a perfect start.
Getafe arrive after beating Málaga 1-0. José Bordalás' side have scored only four league goals in seven games, so their challenge extends beyond keeping Barcelona quiet: they need enough threat of their own to stop the home side attacking without interruption.

This is emphatic mismatch pricing. Barcelona have won their opening seven league matches, while Getafe's limited scoring offers little evidence of an opponent equipped to trade chances with them.
The meaningful qualification is the missing attacker, rather than a need to manufacture an evenly balanced contest. Raphinha's absence removes a major source of goals and movement.
Gabriel Jesus' readiness gives Flick an option through the middle, but introducing him could change the distribution of roles rather than replicate the same attack with a different name.
For Getafe, the credible disruptive route is to defend compactly, contest the second ball and make their scarce attacking possessions count. That becomes harder if Barcelona score early and force them to leave their defensive shape.
The key question is how quickly Barcelona's revised front line can turn territorial control into clear chances.
Barcelona vs Getafe odds
Barcelona win — 92%
Draw — 6%
Getafe win — 4%
The market leaves very little room for either alternative to a Barcelona win. A draw is priced above an away victory, fitting a Getafe side whose more plausible resistance rests on restricting chances rather than matching Barcelona's attacking output.
Barcelona team news
Flick confirmed on Friday that Raphinha will miss Getafe and the following European match. Frenkie de Jong is also not ready to return. Gabriel Jesus is available to start, while Joan García has trained well and is back in contention for the goalkeeper position.
A 4-2-3-1 projection would put Jesus ahead of Fermín López, with Anthony Gordon and Lamine Yamal supplying the width. Karim Adeyemi gives Flick another attacking option. The question is whether he wants Gordon's recent involvement to provide continuity or a different combination around a central striker.
The back line also has choices. Gerard Martín offers an option alongside Pau Cubarsí while Andreas Christensen's recovery from his thigh injury remains a fitness question. Eric García can play at right back, with João Cancelo on the other side; Flick also discussed competition involving Xavi Espart and Cancelo. With another game approaching, selection and minute management matter without implying that rotation is certain.
Getafe team news
Bordalás has recently used a four-man defense with a holding midfielder and a narrow midfield line. The aim against Barcelona is likely to be reducing space between those units, then finding a forward quickly when possession changes.
The team sheet from the 1-0 win over Málaga shows Martín Satriano, Enes Ünal and Iván Azón all starting. Azón scored the late winner. Their inclusion offers a reminder that a nominally defensive system can still contain several forwards, although they may spend much of this fixture working behind the ball.
Orel Mangala started the preceding league match at Betis and came off the bench against Málaga. Restoring him would give the central midfield more defensive coverage. The selection problem is how to strengthen that area without leaving Satriano isolated whenever Getafe regain possession.
Barcelona lineup
Barcelona are likely to line up in a 4-2-3-1, with Joan García projected to return and Gerard Martín selected while Christensen's fitness remains uncertain:
Goalkeeper: Joan García
Right back: Eric García
Right center back: Pau Cubarsí
Left center back: Gerard Martín
Left back: João Cancelo
Right holding midfield: Rodri
Left holding midfield: Pedri
Right wing: Lamine Yamal
No. 10: Fermín López
Left wing: Anthony Gordon
Striker: Gabriel Jesus
Getafe lineup
Getafe are likely to line up in a 4-1-4-1, with Mangala projected to reinforce the central midfield:
Replacing a scorer also means replacing the movements that create room for others. If Jesus starts centrally, Gordon can attack from the left and Fermín can arrive from midfield. Those runs need coordination: three players moving toward the same space would make a crowded defense easier to organize.
Lamine's creativity remains a major source of opportunity on the opposite side. Getafe cannot simply shift their attention to the position Raphinha has vacated.
Can Gabriel Jesus give Barcelona a reference point inside Getafe's defense?
A central striker can occupy the center backs and provide a short passing option when Barcelona's midfield meets resistance. That could help Fermín or a winger receive the next pass facing goal.
But the first touch and the supporting run must connect. Against a compact side, possession around the area has limited value if it never moves a defender out of position.
Can Getafe turn direct passes into sustained relief?
An outlet is only useful if teammates reach the second ball. Satriano and Ünal offer targets, but Getafe's midfield cannot remain too deep to support them. Otherwise a clearance simply starts the next Barcelona attack.
Azón's goal against Málaga gives the visitors an attacking contribution to build on. Repeating the opportunity here requires more than waiting for a loose ball to arrive.
What happens if Barcelona's fullbacks advance together?
Extra width can pull Getafe's midfield apart and create passing lanes inside. It also makes Barcelona's protection after a turnover important, particularly if the visitors leave more than one forward ready to break.
Rodri's positioning and the defenders' distances behind him could decide whether Getafe's direct attacks end quickly or become a genuine threat.
Barcelona vs Getafe head-to-head
Barcelona won both league meetings in 2025-26: 3-0 at home and 2-0 at Getafe. The home pattern is especially strong: Barcelona have won their last eight home league meetings with Getafe, keeping clean sheets in the most recent four.
That history supports the scale of the market gap. It does not remove the immediate question of how Flick reorganizes his attack.
What could move Barcelona vs Getafe odds before kickoff?
Confirmation of Jesus' starting role and the attacking combination around him are the main remaining Barcelona variables. Joan García's selection, Christensen's fitness and any further changes before the European fixture also matter.
Getafe's XI will reveal the balance between midfield protection and forward outlets. Adding another midfielder could improve resistance between the lines, while retaining several forwards would place more weight on direct attacks and second balls.
