Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Dallas Cowboys prediction
Date: Thursday, October 8.
Kickoff: 8:15 p.m. ET.
OG win probabilities: Buccaneers 17%; Cowboys 84%
What to watch: Jalon Daniels' second NFL start.
Dallas gets our early edge after Dak Prescott threw for 335 yards in Sunday's comeback win over Houston. Tampa Bay has confirmed rookie Jalon Daniels will start again with Baker Mayfield sidelined. Daniels threw two interceptions in his debut but added 55 rushing yards; protecting the ball while using that mobility is the Buccaneers' best route to keeping pace.
Philadelphia Eagles at Jacksonville Jaguars prediction
Date: Sunday, October 11.
Kickoff: 9:30 a.m. ET.
OG win probabilities: Eagles 34%; Jaguars 66%.
What to watch: Philadelphia's third-down offense in London.
Jacksonville's defense intercepted Joe Burrow twice in Cincinnati, while Philadelphia went 0-for-12 on third down against the Rams. That contrast supports a Jaguars lean in London, where Jacksonville is the designated home team. The Eagles need shorter third downs and better protection to sustain drives; another afternoon of quick possessions would give the Jaguars too many opportunities.
New York Giants at Washington Commanders prediction
Date: Sunday, October 11.
Kickoff: 1:00 p.m. ET.
OG win probabilities: Giants 38%; Commanders 63%.
What to watch: Washington's starting quarterback.
Washington's market lead comes with considerable uncertainty. Jayden Daniels missed Week 4 with an elbow injury, and Marcus Mariota left the loss to Indianapolis with a knee injury. The Giants have won twice with Jameis Winston starting for the injured Jaxson Dart. We would favor New York if Washington again needs its third quarterback, but Daniels' potential return could change that assessment.
Cleveland Browns at New York Jets prediction
Date: Sunday, October 11.
Kickoff: 1:00 p.m. ET.
OG win probabilities: Browns 45%; Jets 56%.
What to watch: Whether the Jets can sustain drives against Cleveland's defense.
We lean toward Cleveland despite the Jets' higher market price. The Browns sacked Aaron Rodgers five times in Thursday's win, while New York failed to convert any of its seven third downs in Chicago. Cleveland also has extra preparation time. The Jets need productive early downs and quicker answers against pressure to prevent another game in which their offense rarely stays on the field.
Indianapolis Colts at Pittsburgh Steelers prediction
Date: Sunday, October 11.
Kickoff: 1:00 p.m. ET.
OG win probabilities: Colts 45%; Steelers 56%.
What to watch: Pittsburgh's pass protection after allowing five sacks.
Pittsburgh has extra recovery time after playing Thursday, while Indianapolis returns from its London victory. Rodgers threw three touchdowns against Cleveland, but protection breakdowns repeatedly disrupted the Steelers. We give Pittsburgh a narrow edge at home if it keeps Rodgers upright. Indianapolis can challenge that lean by controlling possession and forcing Pittsburgh to play from behind.
Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans prediction
Date: Sunday, October 11.
Kickoff: 1:00 p.m. ET.
OG win probabilities: Texans 74%; Titans 27%.
What to watch: Whether Houston can turn its passing production into a complete performance.
Houston's passing game offers the stronger case, with Nico Collins returning to catch seven passes for 118 yards and two touchdowns against Dallas. The Texans still surrendered a late lead. Tennessee has a developing threat in Carnell Tate, who gained 145 receiving yards Sunday. We favor Houston, but its defense must finish drives better than it did against the Cowboys.
Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints prediction
Date: Sunday, October 11.
Kickoff: 1:00 p.m. ET.
OG win probabilities: Vikings 52%; Saints 49%.
What to watch: Minnesota's ability to turn scoring opportunities into touchdowns.
Minnesota reached 4–0 with five field goals against Miami, leaning on T.J. Hockenson's 13 catches while Justin Jefferson was absent. The Vikings get a slight editorial edge, but they need more from drives near the goal line. New Orleans plays its Week 4 game Monday night, leaving a shorter turnaround and an availability picture that is still developing.
Las Vegas Raiders at New England Patriots prediction
Date: Sunday, October 11.
Kickoff: 1:00 p.m. ET.
OG win probabilities: Raiders 38%; Patriots 64%.
What to watch: Whether Drake Maye can sustain Sunday's offensive improvement.
New England scored four touchdowns in Buffalo after managing two across its first three games. Maye's late winning drive showed how much more dangerous the Patriots can be when their passing game finds a rhythm. We lean toward New England, but Las Vegas needs to make Maye sustain that improvement through longer possessions rather than allowing quick scoring drives.
Cincinnati Bengals at Miami Dolphins prediction
Date: Sunday, October 11.
Kickoff: 1:00 p.m. ET.
OG win probabilities: Bengals 78%; Dolphins 23%.
What to watch: Cincinnati's ball security against a struggling Miami offense.
Cincinnati remains the pick despite consecutive losses. Burrow's two interceptions helped Jacksonville win Sunday, so the Bengals cannot treat this as a routine road assignment. Miami offers less offensive evidence: Malik Willis threw for 85 yards in Minnesota. The Dolphins need their running game to create manageable passing situations and keep Cincinnati from controlling the game through extra possessions.
Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers prediction
Date: Sunday, October 11.
Kickoff: 1:00 p.m. ET.
OG win probabilities: Bears 57%; Packers 42%.
What to watch: Chicago's quarterback decision and Kyle Monangai's rushing workload.
Chicago has a credible route to another road win through its running game. Monangai rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns against the Jets, with Tyson Bagent starting while Caleb Williams remained out with a hamstring injury. We give the Bears a slight edge, subject to the quarterback update. Green Bay needs to stop early-down runs and make Chicago win longer passing situations.
Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers prediction
Date: Sunday, October 11.
Kickoff: 4:05 p.m. ET.
OG win probabilities: Broncos 64%; Chargers 38%.
What to watch: The Chargers' turnover problem.
Los Angeles committed four turnovers in Seattle, giving Denver an obvious route to controlling this divisional game. The Broncos also need improvement after scoring 14 points against San Francisco. We lean toward Denver if it protects possession and avoids making this a passing shootout. The Chargers' first priority is keeping promising drives from ending with the ball in the opponent's hands.
Detroit Lions at Arizona Cardinals prediction
Date: Sunday, October 11.
Kickoff: 4:25 p.m. ET.
OG win probabilities: Lions 68%; Cardinals 33%.
What to watch: Detroit's defense after allowing 445 yards to Carolina.
Jared Goff threw for 412 yards Sunday, but Detroit still lost because its defense struggled to get off the field. Arizona has an opening if it can sustain drives without costly mistakes; its defeat to the Giants ended with a goal-line interception returned for a touchdown. We favor Detroit's passing attack, with defensive consistency the main reason for caution.
San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks prediction
Date: Sunday, October 11.
Kickoff: 4:25 p.m. ET.
OG win probabilities: 49ers 42%; Seahawks 59%.
What to watch: Seattle's ability to prevent explosive plays late in the game.
Seattle leads the market, but our early lean is San Francisco. The unbeaten 49ers closed out Denver with a 56-yard touchdown from Brock Purdy to George Kittle and committed just one penalty. That execution matters in a divisional road game. Seattle needs to keep the ball in front of its secondary and make San Francisco earn points through sustained drives.
Baltimore Ravens at Atlanta Falcons prediction
Date: Sunday, October 11.
Kickoff: 8:20 p.m. ET.
OG win probabilities: Ravens 66%; Falcons 36%.
What to watch: Lamar Jackson's ankle injury.
Baltimore's outlook depends heavily on Jackson, who left Sunday's win over Tennessee with an ankle injury. The Ravens scored no second-half points with Tyler Huntley taking over. We would lean toward Baltimore with Jackson available, but a firm prediction should wait for his practice updates. Atlanta also has a shorter week after its Monday night game in New Orleans.
Buffalo Bills at Los Angeles Rams prediction
Date: Monday, October 12.
Kickoff: 8:15 p.m. ET.
OG win probabilities: Bills 62%; Rams 59%.
What to watch: Buffalo's coverage against Puka Nacua.
The Rams get a slight editorial lean at home after Nacua returned from injury with 125 receiving yards against Philadelphia. Buffalo arrives after allowing New England four touchdowns in its first defeat. The Bills need better answers against sustained passing drives; Los Angeles must avoid the turnovers that left it chasing Sunday's game before its fourth-quarter comeback.
What could change before the Week 5 games?
Quarterback updates for Baltimore, Washington and Chicago could materially change these early predictions. Minnesota's receiving options also depend on Justin Jefferson's availability after he missed Week 4. Atlanta and New Orleans still have their Monday night game to complete at the time of this update. Final injury reports, game-day inactive lists and any significant weather changes will sharpen the outlook as kickoff approaches.
